Boonville, day 90

Seven days ago I was feeling good. Seven days later, not so good. Nothing significant has happened between now and then. I feel like I'm on a roller coaster. Up, down, up, down, sideways, repeat. I'm writing a lot. It should be interesting to read this stuff in five years. My mind is racing. The work is suffering. I want to go home. Challenges suck.

I feel great again!

Sounds like you're right on schedule! That's the natural ebb and flow of any difficult but worthwhile artistic undertaking, as you now know better than anyone. Ride the waves, live the questions and be where you are!!

Yes, I am right on schedule...so it seems.

David,

I was often a mess in North Carolina. Missouri was the worst, I was a basket case, but while in North Carolina I did had a solid week of frustrations and depression. But I did come out of North Carolina a better photographer. It was an amazing month!

Tim,

Keep smiling :) I know it sounds simple but I know sometimes when I'm in a funk it helps. It was good to see you at the wedding. I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving when we can catch up some more and I can hear some great stories. I know in the end this Boonville project is going to be amazing and I can't wait to see what you bring out of it.
All the best.
Daniel

PS I didn't know you had that arguement with the park officer after our wedding...you were right! STICK IT TO THE MAN!
